I am not a Jew! I am  an Arab, Palestinian, and Muslim! Why Media Bother to Invite Me? Hasan Yahya, Ph.D A friend of mine, asked me the other day a very tempting question: why the media Dr. Yahya do not invite you for an interview, or talk show? After all these books  and articles you published? Well,  I said: how can you expect from the media to call me for interview? Firstly, I am not a  Jew to be invited to ALL TV shows. THE PRESS AND A PROVINCE: A LOOK AT THE IRAQI MEDIA IN AL ANBAR

Perhaps true freedom of the press in Iraq never existed. Certainly not before the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 and certainly not immediately after the conflict began. Between suicide bombings, kidnappings and beheadings, the mere survival of the press became more of a challenge than its freedom. Eleven journalists, all Iraqis, were killed in Iraq in 2008 simply for doing their jobs, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists, or CPJ. Believe it or not that means it is becoming less dangerous to be an Iraqi journalist. In the same report, the CPJ wrote, “Nevertheless, the figure was the lowest yearly toll since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003--and two-thirds lower than the annual figures for 2007 or 2006.” Until very recently, journalists from all over the world were targets and casualties in the Iraq war. Beirut (RPN) - Jeremy Tunstall hit the mark when he named his book, "The Media Are American". Two of America's oldest Media operators, the news service & Hollywood – possess a remarkable strength on the world media scene.  For decades the news-service wires have been and still dominated by the Americans and partly shared with Europe. Although, the American slice of the world media pie is weaning due to the growth of the internet, nevertheless, mass media is still in the realm of players in the U.S. and Europe.  Even today with the internet & World Wide Web, news content and information is produced and disseminated by the mainstream western media outlets, like Reuters, AFP, AP, BBC, CNN and Dow Jones.
